Mentoring Structure

Mentoring structure is a well-organised method of scheming every organisational actions completely in an environment that has to be flexible. It supports mentoring by providing records for evaluation and also gives feedback, makes clear the roles, aims and responsibilities, manages expectancies and supports accountability. More general, it assistances employees in career enhancement and also in HR reward procedures. Mentoring Function is the fact that the mentor offers a number of performances that support, give guidance and challenging assignments, protect and advice the young adults to get their work done efficiently.

There are two different categories of mentoring function, the Career-oriented and Psychosocial/Emotional ones that have been additionally researched at the time.

Emotional Functions include role modelling, acceptance and friendship. Their achievement bond the mentor and mentee by a special connection that can only benefit both of them.

Career-related mentoring functions assist the protégés develop their career roles in the organisation, grow their sense of competence, and establish the mentor's commitment. Through this function, the mentor gives the opportunity to the protégé to learn within the hierarchical structure of an organisation.  Career functions provide coaching, supply with protection, provide challenging tasks, increase mentee’s exposure and visibility and lastly direct forms of sponsorship. Exposure and visibility as offering opportunities and responsibilities to connect junior protégés with the important people of the organization.
